In the degree program "Business Psychology" students learn how to solve problems that occur in a variety of businesses independently based on their acquired knowledge and abilities. For this purpose, the West Coast University of Applied Sciences provides broad skills in order to master managerial tasks. These include:
- Expertise: broad knowledge base, knowledge of English as foreign language and extensive knowledge in the students' chosen majors
- Social Skills: individual development of the students' personalities including topics such as communication, presentation techniques, dialectics, rhetoric and project management
- International Competence: contacts with foreign universities, English as a compulsory subject
- Practical Competence: mandatory practical semester (placement), projects as part of the curriculum, as well as the possibility of writing the Bachelor’s thesis in a business
