Course of StudyThe Bachelor course in International Tourism offers various choices and allows students to design their own individual course of study. The advantage is, that students are able to study with their own needs and career interests in mind. Central to International Tourism Management are economic and global contexts within the field. Basics will be taught during the first and second semesters in both Business and Tourism Studies. During semester 2, it is also possible to take a look at the five different emphasis areas before having to decide between Hospitality Management, Tour Operator Management, Destination Management, Health Tourism or Leisure & Event Management in semester 3 along with placing an emphasis in Business Studies. This allows students to decide on the contents that interest them according to their career aspirations. During semesters 3, and 5 students must take a case study assessment course alongside their two emphasis areas in order to apply what they have learned to real projects. West Coast University of Applied Sciences also offers students a well-grounded and subject-related language education, i.e. by having compulsory courses in Business English and Spanish, as well as through the close cooperation with international universities.
