Health Tourism

The emphasis area of Health Tourism primarily deals with health promotion and the needs of senior travelers while, at the same time, taking into account regional touristic aspects and the demographic change process. In doing so we especially consider questions of how tourism businesses and products are organized and how they can be tailored for their target groups. Aspects of medicine and sports play a subordinate role.

This emphasis area offers various promising career opportunities by allowing the graduates to take the role of mediator between traditional healthcare services and the new forms of supply arrangements which are often much more than pure wellness packages.
