M.A. Course in International Tourism Management

After obtaining a B.A. or Diploma in Tourism Management (or similar fields of study with at least 20 credits in tourism related subjects), students can obtain a Master degree after further four semesters.

In the second and third semester, students choose between a business and a cultural studies specialisation. The compulsory semester abroad can be completed at one of our numerous partner universities (e.g. in Argentina, China and New Zealand). As in the B.A. course International Tourism Management, the West Coast University of Applied Sciences emphasizes internationality and practical relevance in the Master program as well as the students’ personal development.

An essential feature of the master's program is the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach. By spending one semester abroad, attending classes in English and due to cooperations with international tourism businesses and destinations, students will be well prepared for the global job market. A variety of careers in international tourism organizations, hotels, tour operators and travel agencies, airline companies, fairs, events and conventions or inbound agencies await the graduates. Non-governmental organizations and public authorities are potential employer for graduates, too.

If you have any questions, the ITM office and the Student Affairs Office will be happy to answer them. Just let us know!
