Research and Knowledge Transfer

Research and knowledge transfer are central missions in the Department of Economics. The University of Applied Sciences with its Departments of Economics and Engineering regards itself as the link between basic research and the practical implementation of its results. Not only does the economy profit from the close combination of research and teaching, so do the students. They are offered a modern and practical education.

Projects and final theses  created and led by students are only one way of researching, as well as implementing research results into practice. Furthermore, three institutes that are located within the Department of Economics work on various research projects, often in cooperation with business partners in the local area. There are, however, partners from all over Germany and the world that cooperate successfully with the Department of Economics and its institutes.
